What is the OKED Mission?

Oklahoma State Department of Educa-on

§  The Oklahoma EducaHon Dashboard (OKED) provides teachers, school leaders, and school partners with relevant, Hmely data that empower them to act strategically in improving student outcomes and supporHng effecHve teaching pracHce.

…provides access to historical, Hmely, and predicHve informaHon to assist with managing and understanding student academic outcomes and teacher effecHveness.

…provides Dashboards which make it easy to view and use educaHon data to support both school and district level planning, intervenHons and coaching/mentoring acHviHes.

…combines data about the whole student including data in the student informaHon system, as well as program parHcipaHon and state assessment data.

…enables the linking of disparate data sources to provide OK educators with a holisHc picture of student achievement, instrucHonal strengths and areas of growth which is more nuanced and mulH-‐dimensional than any other currently available system.

There is no “magic” to the data. Data in OKED comes from the district, largely through the WAVE and TLE data systems. It is largely driven by data exactly as it is loaded into the data sources by districts and schools.

OKED currently includes the following dashboards: -‐ Student Academic -‐Teacher and Leadership EffecHveness (TLE)

There are many ways to uHlize data in OKED– users have many opHons in determining which data they use to drive improvements and how.

OKED Data Sources


§  Data in the OKED Dashboards originates from a number of school and district data systems that feed OSDE data systems:

Data imported into the data warehouse appears on the OKED dashboards as it is found in the source data systems and files. This means that data inconsistencies in the source systems/files result in data inconsistencies in the OKED dashboards.

TLE Dashboard Data Levels

§  Data is aggregated in OKED TLE Dashboards at four main levels:

§  Various user roles provide access to these levels based on the permissions of the role (see the secAon on “User Roles” ).

District level dashboards display aggregate data for the enHre district and individual schools.

Campus level dashboards display aggregate data for the enHre school and individual teachers, administrators and non-‐classroom professionals.

Individual level dashboards display TLE data for individual teachers, administrators and non-‐classroom professionals.


User Roles: Access to the TLE Dashboard

State Administrator This highly restricted role has access to all system data and is limited to state leadership.

State User A user with this role has access to aggregate views of the state, district and school-‐level data in the system. This role does not allow users to view individual teacher, administrator or student-‐level data.

District Superintendent

A user with this role has access to aggregate state-‐level data, all district and school-‐level data for their district, including individual administrator, teacher and student informaHon. These users can also set district-‐wide goals for certain metrics.

District Administrator A user with this role has access to aggregate state-‐level data, all district and school-‐level data for their district, including individual administrator, teacher and student informaHon. These users can also set district-‐wide goals for certain metrics.

District User A user with this role has access to all aggregate district, school and state-‐level data displayed on the system for their district. These users cannot view individual school or student-‐level data.

School Administrator A user with this role has access to aggregate district-‐level data and all school-‐level data for their school, including individual teacher and student informaHon.

Asst. Principal A user with this role has access to aggregate district-‐level data and all school-‐level data for their school, including individual teacher and student informaHon (but cannot view informaHon about other school administrators).

Teacher A user with this role has access to aggregate district and school data, their own TLE evaluaHon informaHon, and student-‐level data as defined by the permissions map for the students they have been assigned.

Non-‐Classroom Professional

A user with this role has access to aggregate district and school data and their own TLE evaluaHon informaHon.

§  The TLE dashboard can be accessed by individuals in the following categories:

Accessing the TLE Dashboards

§  Access to OKED TLE Dashboards must be granted by OSDE. §  Single Sign On user name and password is required to log into the OKED TLE Dashboards.

Click on the gray bar located beneath Oklahoma Educator Dashboards. In this example, you would click on “Superintendent.” The following page will be a FERPA agreement. Read it and click “I Agree” to proceed.

Enter your Single Sign On user name and password here.

If an error message appears, aiempt to enter your log-‐in informaHon again. If you conHnue to get an error message, contact the OSDE Help Desk.
