ENGINEERED FOUNDATION SYSTEM Background– CellBlocks were developed specifically for the telecommunications industry for the purpose of providing a structurally engineered foundation for monopoles, lattice towers, shelters, and equipment, that could be delivered and installed in a single day.

CONNECTING THE BLOCKSPrecision Interlocking Keys–Each block has precision interlocking keys cast in to the vertical side faces. The interlocking keys are male/female and are designed to prevent any movement in any direction once the blocks are connected.

CONNECTING THE BLOCKSPost-Tensioning–Each block has cast-in conduit that allows for post-tensioning rods to be inserted horizontally in both directions.
The post-tensioning process, combined with the interlocking keys, connects all of the blocks together creating a single engineered foundation.

CONNECTING THE TOWERPole Block–In Tower or Monopole applications a designated “Pole Block” is pre-engineered for use in the foundation system.
Anchor bolts are cast-in to the Pole Block to allow for connection of the tower or monopole.
NOTE: The position of the anchor bolts is specific to the type of tower or monopole used in the application.
