A lesson from the Heart-Using heart rate monitors in the classroom

Heart rate monitors allow for students to exercise in their target heart zone. The state of Texas mandates at least 30 minutes per day of structured moderate-to-vigorous activity. Many students do not exercise once they leave school so it is important that we maximize the time we have and make sure they are excising at the appropriate level. We will be able to asses this on a daily basis with the use of heart rate monitors.
