Refunds & Cancellations If you have registered for a class and after the first session can no longer attend, notify
Debi Smith and a refund will be issued, provided it is a class with multiple sessions. Any class not meeting minimum class size requirements will be cancelled. Participants
who have registered for the class will receive a refund or credit. All classes are cancelled during school closures.

Photography Beyond the Auto Setting
Instructors: Darrell Brabec Dates: Saturday, February 3 Times: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Number of Sessions: 1 Location: CHS Room A62 Fee: $15 Materials: Your camera(s) and manuals as well as a USB cord.
Starting out in photography can be a wonderful time, full of creativity and discovery. Even if you don’t have a camera but are thinking of purchasing one, this is the class for you. Several cameras will be available to use during this class. Dar-rell will walk you the components of each of the cameras so you have a better understanding of what you might want when you make that important purchase. For those of you who have a camera, Darrell will show you how to set your camera up for the best types of photos. He will also discuss photo composition and resource for turning your photography into the most beautiful prints.
Mosaic Glass Instructor: Kristie Cole Dates: Wednesday, February 7 through March 28 Time: 6 pm to 8 pm Location: School History & Art Center (SHAC) Number of Sessions: 8 Fee: $20 instructor fee paid to Adult Education $20 material fee paid to SHAC Materials: Provided with your fee- scrap glass, glue, grout and a round form Mosaic Art is an ancient craft of beauty. From start to finish you will be creating a piece of art reflective of yourself. Color, design, and technique are all taught in this 8-week class. You will learn to use mosaic nippers to cut your glass and the grouting process. Take this class, and you’ll soon be ready to mosaic everything in your house and garden! All materials and tools provided resulting in a 24” round mosaic art piece suitable as a small table top, wall hanging or mirror. Enrollment limited so sign up early.
Arts Crafts & Hobbies
Self-Bow & Flint Knapping ALL IN ONE
Instructor: Bob Morgan Dates: Wednesday, January 17 through April 25 NO CLASS FEBRUARY 14 Times: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Number of Sessions: 14 (more if needed) Location: CHS Shop Fee: $50 ($40 for returning students) Materials: Some materials will be available the first night of class. Bob will provide students with a list of materials needed for future classes however; come prepared with a small tarp, leather gloves, and safety glasses.
This class is for the ultimate outdoorsman or woman! Pick and choose the project. If time allows you can make both.
Experience the excitement of crafting a long bow from a single piece of wood. Using the tools of a traditional bowyer, you will craft a unique bow. Whether you like to bow hunt or just enjoy target practice, you’ll love this finely crafted bow that you shape with your own hands. No previous experience is needed. A perfect complement to your hand-made bow are hand-made arrows. Learn the ancient art of making arrowheads and knives from stone found locally. You can craft arrowheads like those you find out in the hills. You will build your own tools from antler or copper.
Stained Glass
Instructors: Janice Breyer Dates: Tuesday, February 6 through March 27 Times: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Number of Sessions: 8 Additional sessions will be scheduled if needed Location: CHS Pottery Room A16 Fee: $30 plus your supplies ($25 for returning students) Materials: A materials supply list is provided by the instructor based on project chosen.
Whether you are a beginner or a returning student this class is for you. Janice will be available to instruct new students and assist returning students. If you are new to the world of stained glass contact Janice for information on supply ordering and project ideas. Otherwise, bring your glass and tools to the CHS pottery studio on Tuesday evenings for a fun night of stained glass creativity. Fitness Wet Vest/Soggy Jogging

Get a great workout with NO IMPACT. A wet vest keeps you suspended in the deep water freeing you to do a variety of leg and arm movements with the added benefit of water resistance. This class is for everyone, whether you are a serious athlete or someone just embarking on an exercise program. Spend your evenings in the water with Janell and see how enjoyable a water workout can be.

American Heart First Aid, CPR & AED
Instructor: Brandy Watson Dates: February 26 & 27 OR April 16 & 17 Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Location: PBES Room #8 Number of Sessions: 2 classes for each session Fee: $35 Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR, AED is designed to prepare you to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This American Heart course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.
Fitness Exercise for the Educator
Instructor: Nikki Barrett-Melin Dates: Tuesday and Thursday Winter Session - January 16 through March 8 Spring Session - March 13 through May 10 NO CLASS APRIL 3 & DURING DISTRICT EARLY OUTS Time: 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm Location: PBES Number of Sessions: 16 each session Fee: $30
Open to all but designed for the educator, this exercise class is conveniently located at the elementary school scheduled around the school employee’s day. Tuesday and Thursday class will be a mixture of strength and conditioning moves designed to make the most out of your 45 minute workout. Not only will you get great total-body conditioning, but you will also burn calories, get moving, and get energized. Nikki will use a variety of exercises including cardio, strength, Pilates and yoga. You will work at your pace and do what your body allows. Expect to take some workouts outdoors when the weather is nice. Come prepared with gym shoes and the proper attire.
Early Aquatic

For the self-motivated and determined person. This early morning swim, in our heated pool, will help get your day started off just right. Work the muscles and joints without the hindrance of gravity. Swim laps, water aerobics, put on the wet vest and jog in the deep-end or just float around and enjoy the water. If you don’t have a workout in mind, Rachel can help you get started.

Personal Development HISET (GED)

Increase your skills to take your High School Equivalency Exam with this individualized program. You will study the skills that YOU need in a non-threatening environment. Colstrip Public Schools is not a HiSET testing site. This course is a preparation class only. Ann will help guide you to success in completing the Hi-SET test.
G-Suite For Education The Parent Edition
Instructors: Kim Smith Dates: January 29, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm OR March 24, 9:00 am to 11:00 am Location: FBMS Room 209 Fee: $5 Technology is being used in schools more frequently, and many parents find themselves at a loss in helping their children as they try to complete schoolwork at home. In this 2-hour session, Kim will guide you through an exploration of the G Suite for Education applications your children are likely using as part of the learning process at school. Some of the apps/programs that will be covered are GMail, Google Drive (including Google Docs, Slides, etc.), and Google Classroom. If you do not have children in school but just want to learn more about Google and what it can do, this is the class for you!

Beginning Swimming

Ann brings 30+ years of aquatic experience with her to the pool so join her each Monday and Wednesday for a half-hour of instruction and fun. In this class, your child will learn basic water and swimming skills including: floating, breath control, beginning strokes and other water-related skills. Classes are small with personal attention given to each student. Have your child learn how much fun the water can be.

Intermediate swimmers are comfortable in the water, have learned to float and can swim short distances ranging from the width of a pool to a pool length. In this class Rachel will focus on stroke techniques for freestyle, introduce back-stroke and work on breathing and endurance.

Kids Easter Cooking and Crafts Class
Instructor: Cindy Hatten Date: Saturday, March 24 Time: 9:00 to 12:00 Location: FBMS Consumer Science Kitchen Fee: $10 for kids $5 for adults (which includes all the ingredients for the treats you will make, sample and take home.) Come and enjoy 2+ hours of fun Easter treat making and craft building. When we're finished, each child will go home with fun and delicious treats for springtime munching or gift giving. You'll spend a very enjoyable two hours (or longer) with lots to show for it. Sign up early. You won’t want to miss this one! All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cooking Crafts and Science Fun for Kids
