• Olympic National Park is located in Port Angeles Washington. The park is 1,400 square miles large. If you compare Rhode Island to the size of the park Rhode Island would be exactly 186 square miles smaller.

• The Olympic National Park has snowy mountains, tropical rainforests, beaches, waterfalls, and lakes.

• Tourists visit the park to swim, hike, fish, and canoe through the beautiful scenery. Kids like this park because they enjoy the great outdoors and there are a lot of fun activities for them like bike riding.

• The park was formed on June 29, 1938 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
