I am Ganesha. A fun loving and happy go lucky God

How I love my planet and all those who live on it!!

This festival symbolizes harmony between humans and animals

After the monsoon you bring fresh earth (grass) home and worship it

It is my way of keeping you close to nature!

My visarjan symbolizes the cycle of life and death

Each year, millions of my devotees bring me home and then after a few days bid me adieu with lots of fanfare and pomp!

What I would love is if they didn’t pollute the rivers and lakes that are so dear to me!!

Please don’t use thermocol and other non-biodegradable material for the mandir and decorations

Make use of paper and cloth or flowers.!

Even plates and bowls made of supari leaves can be used

All the Nirmalaya can be put in the “kalash” shaped vessels provided by PMC on the river beds

If you follow a clean and green Ganeshotsav, I promise to write a wonderful future for you and your planet.

Be eco friendly. Be smart. Be safe.

Next time you send me back to heaven, please make use of the tanks placed next to water bodies.

I would love to be immersed in that water and spare the water world and all the little fish that I myself created.

The POP idols of me that you use today take several months to dissolve in water

Moreover the chemical colours used on them are harmful for the marine life and they get passed on to you through the food chain

Page 9: Om Gan Ganapataya Namah:

These idols are made from clay or mud

The colours used are haldi, geru and multani mitti

The idols dissolve easily and only within a few hours

Since all material used is natural all my dear marine life is safe!

If all the offerings given to me are used in a better way, wouldn’t we all be happier?

All the coconuts and prasad can be distributed among poor families.

All the flowers can be used to make compost which will make my earth more fertile!

You can also make natural colour from the flowers
