Adjust belt guide as shown below. Gap between the belt guide and the pulley needs to be 1/16”

When you stand and pull the bail tight against the handle, the spring on the lower end of the cable mustbegin to stretch, and lengthen about an 1/8” to 1/4”. This ensures that the spring pressure is beingapplied to the belt to make it run without slipping. If you need to adjust the cable, loosen the tighteningnuts on the handle bracket and lengthen or shorten the cable until the proper adjustment is obtained,then retighten the nuts. Reinstall the belt shield.
