On Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Cathe-dral of Saint John the Baptist, 381 Grand St, Paterson, NJ 07505, all are invited to attend the Unveiling and Blessing of the Veterans Monument on the grounds of the Cathe-dral by the Reverend Monsignor Mark J. Giordani. The event with guest speakers starts promptly at 4pm and will end with a pro-cession in the Cathedral followed by Mass. This event is dedicated to the veterans of Passaic, Morris and Sussex Counties.

The next St. Mary’s Rosary Society meeting will take place on Sat, November 11, 2017 at 1pm, starting with Mass, praying the rosary and then meeting.

El evento con oradores invitados comienza puntualmente a las 4pm y terminará con una procesión en la Catedral seguida por la Misa. Este evento está dedicado a los veteranos de los con-dados de Passaic, Morris y Sussex.

In 2013, a woman named Sara Barnes was arrested for causing the fire that de-stroyed The Senator, the fifth oldest tree in the world, which was located in Semi-nole County, Florida. Barnes used to hide inside the hollow tree trunk to consume methamphetamine often, one time the fire went out of control. The Senator was a bald cypress of 38 meters of height, 5.3 meters of diameter and about 3500 years of antiquity. Barnes was handed over to the authorities by her friends, after con-fessing to them: "I can not believe that I burned a tree older than Jesus."
