On a corner lot without access to a lane, you may be able to park an RV in the back yard or in the flanking front yard as long as:• visibility from the intersection as well as
adjacent properties is maintained;• site triangles are maintained in accordance
with the Land Use Bylaw; and• the RV is enclosed within a screened fence
1.8 m high, located within the property boundaries.
What about parking trailers on a public roadway?
• RVs can’t be parked on a public roadway for more than 72 hours. Once removed, your RV can’t be returned to the roadway before an additional 48 hours has passed.
• Unattached trailers aren’t allowed on roadways.

NOTE:• Any RV must be parked on an approved
gravelled or hard-surfaced parking pad in accordance with the City’s Land Use Bylaw.
• RVs are not to hang over public sidewalks at any time.

What is considered an RV?
Under the City’s Land Use Bylaw, a recreational vehicle (RV) includes (but is not limited to):
• Motorhomes• Travel trailers• Fifth-wheel travel trailers• Campers, whether or not located on a truck
or other vehicle• Tent trailers• Boats • A trailer used to transport any of the above
PARKING AN RV
• The following diagrams are options you may have for parking and storing an RV on your property.
• If you have access to a lane, you may be able to park an RV in the back yard or on the driveway to your detached garage.
• If you don’t have access to a lane but have adequate clearance between the side property boundary and your home, you may still be able to park an RV in the rear yard.

IMPORTANT:
If you don’t have access to a lane and as long as no complaints are received from an affected neighbour, you may park an RV on a front driveway between May 1 and Oct. 15 only.From Oct. 16 to April 30 of each year, the RV must be removed from the front driveway and stored either off-site or in an approved location on your lot.
