GENERAL NOTES
Situation Hollow Farm has excellent road access via the A6 and A515 From the A6 at Pickery Corner between Rowsley and Bakewell, pick up the B5056 signposted for Ashbourne and Youlgrave. Travel half a mile until the road splits and take the right hand fork signposted up towards Alport and Youlgrave. In the centre of Youlgrave, adjoining All Saints Church, turn left into Bradford Road, which leads on to Mawstone Lane, down the bank. Bear left by Owl Cottage and travel further down the hill to the brook opposite the post box. Turn left into the farm drive with Hollow Farm lying at the end, after the pond. From the A515 at Newhaven by the grass triangle pick up the A5012 signposted Cromford and Matlock. After 300 yards turn left down past Friden Brickworks signposted Youlgrave. (BEWARE-weight limited and 9 ½ ft low bridge)-travel 3 miles down into Youlgrave village through the houses and at the church turn right down Bradford road which leads onto Mawstone Lane and follow the directions detailed above.

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. This very genuine dispersal at Hollow Farm arises as a result of the retirement of John and Christine Eley and many locals will know that the dairy herd was sold from the farm just over 6 years ago and a very successful beef enterprise has been run over recent years. There is an immaculate range of John Deere’s and other equipment which has been very well maintained and carefully handled with the tractors serviced by the local RVT dealership and the telehandler looked after by B&B Tractors. The careful usage and attention of all items shines through and the stars of the show include the Manitou, 3 John Deere Tractors and the McHale Straw Chopper. In addition to the major items there is a superb range of livestock related sundries together with stone and other items and purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this superb late season sale.
