Smartphones and other mobile technologies continue to change the way physicians manage their patients and their practices. In practices today, mobile devices are used for everything from practice management and workflow to patient diagnosis and treatment.
When physicians were asked their top reasons for adopting mobile health, it’s no surprise that time efficiencies topped the list.

Time efficiencies moved from the #2 reason in 2015 to the #1 reason in 2016, increasing by 25%.
Pharmaceutical information moved to the #1 position this year from the #2 position in 2015.
Interestingly, our data shows that the age of a physician does not play any significant role in a physician’s use or perceptions of mobile.
Medication interactions jumped from #3 in 2015 to #1 in 2016, increasing by 14%. Similarly, ePrescribing
fell from #1 in 2015 (50% to 40%) to #4 position in 2016.
