On Thursday October 6th Trelawny Public School will be having our annual Fall Fair & CountryBBQ. We invite the Trelawny community to come from 5:30-7:00 p.m. to join us in eating someBBQ goodies, meeting teachers in their classrooms, then viewing the Fall Fair exhibits and basketsand other items for our silent auction. We will also be having some displays with information aboutactivities and organizations from our community, a book fair, and a bake sale!
Please come and have your dinner at school! The Fall Fair committee and staff have organized aBBQ (Halal chicken, veggie and beef hotdogs) which will begin at 5:30. BBQ items and beverageswill be available for purchase on October 6th . All money raised will go to pay for the cost of food,with the remainder going to support various school initiatives.
We look forward to welcoming you in our finest country attire and don’t forget to join us by wearingyour straw hat, jeans, overalls and boots as well! Our schedule for the night is as follows:

GuidelinesStudents may enter as many categories as they want, however, only oneitem may be placed in each category. Students are reminder that thequality of an entry is more important than the quantity of entriessubmitted. Parents are encouraged to take a supportive role in theirchild’s entries. Students in Kindergarten to grade two will be judgedseparately from students in grades 3 to 5.

Delivery Instructions for Student ExhibitsChildren should bring their exhibits, with completed entry formsATTACHED, on the morning of the Fall Fair.A sheet of entry forms is attached to this notice. Students in Kindergartento grade 2 should attach a pink coloured entry form to each exhibit, whilestudents in grades 3 to 5 should attach a green entry form to theirexhibits. Extra forms will be available at the office.
The gym will be open on Thursday October 6th at 7:00 a.m. to acceptentries that are too difficult for the children to carry by themselves.Entries cannot be accepted after 9:00 a.m. as judging will be begin aroundthis time. Classes will visit the exhibits throughout the day after thejudging is completed. Please take all entries home at the end of theevening.

Each grade will be given a ‘theme’ to collect items for a basket for our silent auction. Whateverfamilies can contribute to their child’s grade level theme basket would be most appreciated. Theteachers at each grade level will gather the items until October 3rd and then wrap each basketto be ready for the silent auction on October 6th or later. Items should be new, undamaged andappeal to multiple age levels and either gender (as the baskets would be going home with families).
Families may also wish to donate single items such as tickets to an event or movies, framedpictures etc... for our auction.
Kindergarten: Health and Wellness: bubble bath, nail polish, hair products, nice soap, tooth paste etc.
Grade 1: Arts and Crafts: markers, construction paper, glitter glue, playdough etc.
Grade 2: Party: napkins, bubbles, streamers, small games, whistles, candy (party items)
Grade 3: Chocolate Everything: Hot chocolate, cookies, chocolates, chocolate fruits etc.
Grade 4: Outside Games: skipping ropes, soft balls, soft football, soccer ball, tennis balls, scoops,
Grade 5: International Foods: spaghetti, sauces, rice, spices
Be imaginative, creative, have fun!!!!
Baskets will be on view at the front of the school on October 6th . During our silent auction, families canwrite down a donation amount. The family with the last price donated on our list will receive the basketWinners will be announced at a later time.
All proceeds from the baskets will go towards various school initiatives.
