Hey Boston: are you ready for your close-up?We should hope so. After all, the Hub
has learned a lot about being “camera-ready” in the past year or two, amid the influx of Hollywood film crews capturing our cityscape from every conceivable angle. And who could blame them? Ask any tourist snapping photos during a first stroll through historic Beacon Hill, the charming South End, or bustling Back Bay: we’re damn photogenic. (Or as they say in the biz, “Looking fierce!” CLICK!)
But as thrilling as it is to see Boston on the big screen, those of us who live, breathe, and belong to the Bean have long known that indelible images can be seen around town on any ordinary night. That’s why we started the “One Night in Boston” concept in 2008: to truly capture all the amazing energy, colorful characters, nooks, crannies, local landmarks, and secret hideaways that words can only describe. So on Thursday, July 22, 15 STUFF photographers took to the streets once again, canvassing neighborhoods from sunset to sunrise like a swarm of paparazzi. But the celebrity was the city.
And as always, Boston, you’re a star.
