Stressor: While walking between lectures, most students become stressed by

unhelpful tasks such as worrying about classes, needlessly texting/

calling peers, or simply just rushing for no reason.

Calmer: Divert attention away from everything but the task of focusing on the tempo of one’s steps. Akin to using music to control breath, this uses a naturally occurring rhythm to slow one’s

thoughts.
