services, programs, and volunteer
opportunities, which help seniors live
healthy, independent, and productive

ABOUT OUR SERVICES
Over 2,600 older adults, living here in our community, received service or
participated in the O’Neill Center’s programming over 77,000 times in
2019.Those are numbers we are proud of because we know we are
impacting our community. The O’Neill Center remains committed to
helping area seniors live Healthy, Independent and Productive lives.
Active Aging—Enriching, engaging activities that promote healthy,
independent living.
In 2019, over 1,700 participants visited over 44,000 times enjoying fitness
programs, health related activities, educational programs and enjoyed
social activities. The O’Neill Center is a County-wide organization with
locations in Belpre and Marietta. Additionally, classes are offered at
various locations throughout the County so participants can take
advantage of programming close to home.
Adult Day Services—A home away from home where friendships develop and
caregivers are offered peace of mind while they attend to their own lives. In 2019,
5,885 days of service were provided to some of Washington County’s most
vulnerable seniors.
Homemaking—Everyday chores are performed so seniors can continue living in
their own homes. In 2019, homemaker aides provided nearly 5,000 hours of in
home service to mostly disabled adults who can now remain living healthy lives in
their homes, where they prefer to age.
Social Services—Provides the tools seniors need to make informed decisions and
also offers a connection to important services and benefits. In 2019, services
provided included prescription assistance; benefits enrollment; Medicare part D
and supplemental insurance guidance; and much more.
Transportation—Providing rides to doctors offices, treatment centers and social
services organizations. In 2019, drivers helped seniors travel to important
destinations logging 126,000 miles, providing over 11,000 trips with an average of
12 miles per trip.
