Service 1 — Bone & Rolling Our butchers will happily bone and roll your turkey, so carving becomes the simplest of tasks. A great, hassle-free way to enjoy both the light and dark meat. (£7.50/product)

Service 2 — Stuffing* We have provided this service for generations. Simply choose either 1 or 2 different stuffings and our butchers will stuff your turkey ready for the oven. Flavours available: Sage & Onion, Chestnut, Cranberry, Pork & Apple, Plain Pork, Oatmeal. (From £7.50)

Service 3 — Cooking Save the hassle and let us do the full job. We will season and cook your turkey or other meats, so that you have the simplest of tasks to reheat and serve. Your choice of Christmas fayre will come to you in a sealed cooking bag with all its juices. (Please note we cannot cook to individual requirements) Beef & Lamb will be cooked Medium. (£10.00/product)

* We provide a stuffing service but nowadays we do recommend that you cook your stuffing separately to ensure thorough cooking and to reduce your cooking times.

Butcher services

Weigh your turkey after stuffing

Cover breast with strips of bacon or coat with softened butter, then cover loosely with aluminium foil

Preheat your oven to 190°C (180°C for fan assisted ovens), 375F, Gas Mark 5

Cook for 45 minutes per kg, then add another 35 minutes cooking time at the end

Remove the aluminium foil for the last 35 minutes to brown the top

Many ovens vary, so always test your turkey to make sure it is thoroughly cooked. Pierce the fullest part — this is usually the leg of a whole turkey — with a skewer or sharp pointed knife. Hold a spoon underneath to catch the juices as they run out, if the juices run clear, the turkey is done; if they are pink it needs further cooking.

Our pigs are reared by Mark Batchelor, Kinnell Farm, Arbroath, who have won many awards for Standards of the Rearing of Pigs and for the quality of the meat.
