Meta tag usageTaking home page as example and observation for;

Title:

There’s not synchronization between Meta title, description and page content. Keywords used on Title are not available on Meta description & page content. Similarly same issue is with the keyword used at Meta description.

Meta description:

1. Ideally Meta description should form a grammatical sentence using proper keywords. But with Supercoder.com, only keywords are used with lots of stop characters (,). Which is not recommended.

2. If assuming used key-terms on meta description as primary keywords, then there’s no use of these terms on the page.

Meta tag usage (cont..)

Going with below few cached pages at Google. There’s no usage of proper title with identified keyword. Infect special character is used, which is not recommended.

Meta description are also not supporting the targeted keywords and generally page running content is captured in it. This is making page less search engine friendly and probability of ranking such pages with targeted keywords is getting quite low with this strategy.

Synonyms/Full form can be used at Page title. Eg: asc and aapc

HTML OptimizationHeadingHTML Heading tags are not available on pages. This is heavily recommended and is the best place to use targeted keywords to increase keyword density and to emphasize on such term.

Alt TagAs search engine crawler are unable to read the images. So Alt tags are very important place to assign meaning of images. But at Supercoder.com alt tags are not used.

Benefits of using Alt tags:

Use proper meaningful related keywords for images.

Alt tags can be used very creatively to increase keyword density on pages. We can use keywords on this place.

W3C ValidationHTML is not properly validated as per W3C guidelines. For making site search engine friendly HTML

code should be W3C validated and is playing crucial role.

Breadcrumb can be used on site for better hierarchal presentation for search engine crawler. Through this strategy probability of getting site-links on search result is increased. It also increases the chances of better crawling for SEs on each visit of search spiders.

Webmaster tools are not integrated on site. We can use Google webmaster, Yahoo search explorer & bing webmaster on site for controlling search spiders.

This will also help us to monitor presence of site over different POS.

This will provide insights for keyword performance.
