The ‘Check Entry’ screen is a record of actions in the field. It is
saved automatically.
Entries should be made whether or not a catch was found. Bait and hardware on a record do not relate to catches for that event– the system always goes back to the previous data entry to find these

Trap check data entry: The minimum details required are the name of trapper, date (using date-picker) and choice of trap line (using a drop-down menu)

A ‘new record’ screen is displayed. Type in the new trap number and create the location by either clicking on the map and moving the point around,

…… or by entering the coordinates in your preferred system. NZTM is used by councils and DOC. Your GPS may show WGS84. Add comments to help trappers.

To set up the tunnel and trap information at a location: Now that you have the trap location, you need to add :
• the tunnel type, • the trap type, • the date it is first set (all the analysis depends on entering this date)
Go to the "Check entry" screen Fill in the details of:
• checked by • bait • tunnel • trap type • pick the installation date • select the line name • apply to selected traps (allows
multiple trap installation)
