Accessing Your Account Your first step is to go to http://mytests.hrdirect.com using a supported browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or later. Make sure your pop-up blockers are turned off or you will not be able to log in.

Now select the Administrator Login button, and then enter the username and password that was provided in your new account email.

This will take you to the general overview of the platform. Here you can create new applicants, which should be your first step.

General Overview The “Applicant Setup” screen allows the administrator to create new applicants, search for existing applicants to make changes and/or delete applicants. By default, the “Applicant Setup” screen will appear after login. Fill in the form with first and last names, phone number, email address, the position the applicant is applying for, and a 4-digit applicant ID number; typically the last 4 digits of the applicant’s social security number. Then click the save button.

Create New Applicant

To add a new applicant, click the “Create New Applicant” button, type the applicant’s information and the position that they are applying for into the form. When finished, click the "Save" button.

At this point you can assign a test, make edits to the applicant’s information, or view test results by selecting one of the tabs. You cannot administer a test until it has been assigned to the applicant.

Assign Test The “Assign Test” screen allows you to select the test(s) that an applicant will take. A listing of the available tests that can be assigned to that applicant will appear below their name. Available tests are tests that have been purchased, but not yet assigned or taken by the specified applicant. You can assign the test for administration at a later time or administer the test immediately by selecting one of the two buttons at the bottom of the screen. Select the check box next to the test(s) you wish to assign to the applicant. Once you have selected the tests to be assigned, click the “Assign Test.”

If all available tests have been assigned to the applicant or they have already completed the assigned tests, then no tests will be available to assign. The following message will appear: The selected applicant has either taken or been assigned all available tests.

Assign & Administer Once you have selected the tests to be assigned to the applicant, click the “Assign & Administer” button which will take you to the “Administer Test” screen where you will be presented with several test administration options.

You may administer tests in one of three ways: Begin Test Now: This option allows the test to be administered immediately from the computer you are using. Send Email: Use this option to send a request to the applicant with instructions for accessing and completing the test. The instructions will guide the applicant to a specific webpage, give them the Session ID code to enter and begin the test from a remote computer. Print Access Info: This option allows you to print the test access information so the applicant can take the test from any computer.

The applicant’s name should populate automatically, but if it doesn’t you can choose it from the dropdown next to “Select Applicant.” Then in the “Select Test to Administer” dropdown, select the test you wish to administer to the applicant. Choose whether you want the applicant to “Begin Test Now” from this computer, “Send Email” to applicant with instructions to sign in and take the test from a remote location, or “Print Access Info.”

Test Results Access the Test Results screen by clicking on the tab “Test Results” at the top of the page. Here you can enter your search criteria to view test results in several different ways. By choosing the Output Format radial button “Tests List” and then the applicant’s name from the drop down, you will receive a list of tests that have been assigned or completed by the applicant. Or, select the “Tests with Score” button, which gives you the option of searching for tests taken or applicants that have taken tests in a specific time period.

By applicant: If the applicant has been assigned or completed a test, click the dropdown next to Applicant Name, then click the “Show Tests for Applicant” tab. You can now see a list of tests completed or assigned to the applicant.

To review the results, click on the applicant’s underlined name in the chart next to the “Test ID” you wish to view. You can now view scores, test score graphs, interview questions (if applicable to the test), and candidate responses by clicking on those tabs at the top of the page (see images below). If the applicant’s name is not underlined in the chart, then they have not yet started the test. The “Test Score” screen will display the test scores for a particular individual. Below you can see that James Smith took the Proofreading Skills test on May 2, 2014. It shows his raw score as 7, which will correspond to Table 9 on page 38 of the Administrator’s Manual with a percentile of 30.
