Did you know...
Most of us think throwing away good food is wasteful but don’t realise about our own food waste habits. This ismainly due to cooking or preparing too much or not using food before it goes off. If we stopped wasting food, itwould have the equivalent impact on CO2 emissions as taking 1 in 4 cars of the UK’s roads.

All food wasteGreen Cone food waste digesterCompost ALL your food waste in a Green Cone, including meat, fish, dairy products and cooked leftovers. As its design uses solar energy to aid the growth of beneficial micro-organisms, it is only suitable for sunny parts of the garden on well-draining soil (not a high water table).
The aerobic digestion process breaks down all food waste and converts it towater, carbon dioxide with a small amount of residue. Therefore the basket (80 ltr), which should be dug into the ground 42cm deep, only needs to beemptied once every few years.
If instructions are followed during installation, it should not attract vermin.
Did you know...
Almost 20% of UK CO2 emissions come from producing, transporting, preparing and storing food and drink. However, the average household bins £50 worth of food a month. Only some of this is peelings, cores and bones,so most of it could have been eaten!

Its innovative design allows it toproduce compost from two parts cooked and uncooked foodwaste to one part garden waste. Place it in a shady position inthe garden ideally on clay soil.
It comes with a free small caddy for collecting the food waste inthe kitchen. It needs only occasional mixing using the stirringstick provided. The finished compost is easy to access throughthe sliding doors.
If instructions are followed during installation, it should notattract vermin.
Did you know...
Food buried in landfill sites releases methane (a gas over 20 times more damaging to the environment than CO2),rather than harmlessly decomposing. Composting your food waste instead at home produces virtually no methane.
