Clay Fire Department, Clay NY 2017 - present Lieutenant - Training Officer • Presently an adjunct and training tower operator for the Town of Clay fire
training tower facility • Instruct, supervise and evaluate fire department training sessions on a
multitude of emergency service topics. • Coordinate and instruct the departmental new firefighter program. • Assist the department Captain's with day to day station activities.
North Syracuse Fire Department, North Syracuse, NY Captain
2010 - 2016
• Instructed on OSHA, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. This includes development of lesson plans and power point presentations as well as practical exercises.
• Facilitated department compliance with government mandated NIMS training. • Instructed, supervised and evaluated regular fire department training sessions
on a multitude of emergency response topics. • Instructed, supervised and evaluated the departmental probationary firefighter
training program as well as processed all new applications. • Coordinated the annual fire department training calendar, including organizing
the mandatory training requirements for fire service agencies. This includes OSHAIPESH, Haz-Mat, Blood borne Pathogens as well as CPR training.

• Coordinated emergency response to major incidents including fires, mass casualty incidents, hazardous materials incidents, natural disasters and others. Assured the provision of critical community resources and critical infrastructure was maintained. Operated in numerous command posts utilizing the NIMS.
• Instructed Incident Command, Critical Incident Management, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Hazardous Materials, multiple casualty incidents, OSHA, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. This includes development of lesson plans and power point presentations as well as practical exercises focused on team-oriented operations.
• Developed and implemented driver training programs. Coordinated departmental driver safety program.
• Facilitated department integration of government mandated NIMS which included policy and training development as well as curriculum delivery.
• Managed operational functions of the fire department, budget preparation, management of members, and recruitment and training.
• Responsible for compliance with OSHA regulations including preparation for inspections.
