  • We’re excited about our first collaboration!

By joining forces, we are able to bring North Texas audiences more musical theater options than what is touring. In fact, with Dallas Theater Center producing this musical experience, it is truly a one-of-kind, Dallas original. It illustrates what the arts community in Dallas can do with partnership and shared resources–a professional theater company and a stellar venue.

We will join forces again over Labor Day weekend, in partnership for the second year of Dallas Theater Center’s Public Works Dallas with a production of The Winter’s Tale. The five, free musical performances will feature a cast of more than 200 members from five community organizations in Dallas. This event brings together all corners of the city to celebrate the arts and its power to lift and enrich lives.

You can also look forward to the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Broadway Series including A Christmas Story, The Musical in December; the #1 longest running American musical in Broadway history, Chicago; current Broadway hit A Bronx Tale; The Lincoln Center Theater production of Falsettos; the hilarious The Play That Goes Wrong; back by popular demand is Beautiful–The Carole King Musical; direct from London is Bat Out of Hell; then Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! All of these shows will be presented right here in the Winspear Opera House.

Dallas Theater Center’s next season features the heartwarming Southern comedy Steel Magnolias in September; followed by Dickens’ classic–and a Dallas tradition– A Christmas Carol; then a fascinating play by renowned playwright Will Power about Muhammad Ali, Fetch Clay, Make Man; the Pulitzer Prize-winning, Broadway hit, Sweat; an extraordinary new play that was the talk of the New York theater season, The Wolves; Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night; the acclaimed drama and film, Real Women Have Curves; and a world premiere set in Dallas, Penny Candy. These shows will be presented across the street in the innovative Wyly Theatre and at the historic Kalita Humphreys Theater on Turtle Creek.

    Enjoy the show!
