Why Apply to OIP

17

• Use complete sentences when providing responses to the questions. Marks will be

deducted for the use of bullet points and abbreviations with the exception of

acronyms.

• Be concise. Focus your application on how your skills and experience relate to the

focus area you have selected.

• Be selective. You don't have to “tell all”. Stick to what's relevant and marketable that

speaks to the skills required for the focus area you have selected.

• Be honest and accurate. False statements in your application may result in

rescinding an employment offer (or denial or immediate termination of employment).

• Proofread and pay attention to detail. Take the time to make sure the information that

you are using is correct and error-free. Review your application at different times with

rest periods in between readings. When your mind is fresh you will be much more

effective in catching typos and other grammatical errors.

• Be professional. Use professional language in your application.
