Myrtle’s Message
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT | Jacobs Presents Concert Series Revitalizing with Councilmember Myrtle Cole The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, one of the crown jewel venues in the Fourth Council District, launched a first-class concert series that brought over 600 concert-goers from around San Diego to the Fourth Council District! The concert series kicked off on January 22nd with award-winning R&B band Mint Condition.
.
I am so pleased with the ticket-buying support and the seamlessly organized event. I am looking forward to the economic impact this concert series will have on the surrounding businesses in Market Creek Plaza. At the end of the concert, I overheard Reginald Jones, President & CEO of the Jacobs saying: “We are revitalizing with Councilmember Myrtle Cole;” and I thought to myself: “Yes, we are!”
KUDOS | Oak Park Community
I want to thank the Oak Park neighbors who celebrated the Dr. MLK, Jr. Holiday by doing community service. A total of 9 volunteers cleaned five streets. This group did the same thing last year plus they painted a fence that needed it. Thank you Larraine Marshall for organizing the effort and the other community volunteers!

following summarizes what Chief

1) Data collections on stops
2) Revised training on cultural
sensitivity
3) Policy change on how people are
approached at stops: Police will ask
for identity versus first asking “are
you on parole or probation?”
4) No more sitting people on curbs
during stops

the community at Tubman-Chavez
Center in the Fourth Council District
6) Identify funding for lapel (on body)
