If you are a die hard lover of tea, then you might have tasted all varieties of tea all around the globe but if you haven't tastedthe Oolong Tea then still you haven't tasted the real tea. Actually, this tea is the traditional tea of China and it is produced witha unique method. The method includes the withering and oxidation of the plant in the strong sun before the leafs are curled andtwisted. There are many other fine varieties of the tea which are specially cultivated and produced in other part of Chine.Although, the fine variety of tea has the same oxidation process, but the degree of oxidation may change. It may vary from 10%-80% from variety to the production style of the tea. Well, if the popularity of the Oolong tea is considered then, it is highlypopular in the South China and Southeast Asia.

Well, as you will move part to part, the varieties of the tea will change and thus it's taste. The varieties may have differenttexture, aromas and taste which you may or may not like. The taste can be the sweet like honey, fruity, roasted and woody. Thetea can be thick, green and fleshy depending upon the temperature and soil, in which the tea is cultivated. Though, if you arewilling to know about the other sub-variety of the tea, then the Da Hong Pao is the one which is cultivated at the Wuyi. Thevariety of tea is also generalized by the rolling pattern of the tea leaves. Well, the some leaves can be wrap-curled in smallbeads with a tail or the others can be simply curled.

So, let us now peak into the rich history and origin of the tea. Well, it was believed that the tea camein contrast with the Dragon-Phoenix Tea Cake tribute tea. Though, further the name was changed and replaced. Thisreplacement of name took place when the market was buzzed by the loose tea. As the loose tea was long, curled and dark,hence it was named as the Black Dragon tea. Well, this all explanation was done according to the "tribute tea" theory.

Though, it wasn't the end and another theory followed this "tribute tea" theory. This theory was the "Wuyi theory", whichexplained that the tea was first originated at the Wuyi Mountains of the China. Even, this theory also has fact which is oftenheard in the song of the Wuyi Tea Song and Tea Tale. Hence, if this theory is considered all true, then the teas was originatedat the Wuyi Mountains. Well, these two theories weren’t enough to reveal the origin of the tea and a new theory came incontrast. This theory was the "Anxi theory" and it was supposed to be originated from the Anxi Oolongwas discovered by a man who then named the tea as the Wuliang.
