The course may be walked after 4.00pm on Saturday 12th September but will not be deemed complete until 9.00am on Sunday 13th September. RULES AND CONDITIONS

1. These Horse Trials will be run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2015. 2. All horses/ponies must be 4 years or older 3. The judges’ decision is final 4. HEALTH AND SAFETY. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all the Officials and Stewards. The Committee, organisers or the owners of Leyland Court do not hold themselves responsible for any loss, damage, injury or illness to any horse, rider, spectator or any other person or property. 5. The organising committee reserve the right to cancel or alter any classes and to refuse entry. 6. Riding hats must conform to current Pony Club standards with either the appropriate BSI Kite mark, Snell E2001 or SAI Global and must be worn correctly fastened at all times while mounted. Full details of permissible hats are given in the Pony Club 2015 Eventing Rule Book. These will be checked on collection of numbers. For XC riding over fences 0.8m and above, a jockey skull with no fixed peak must be worn. It is strongly recommended that a jockey skull cap is worn for XC riding over lower fences. 7. Body protectors must be worn for the cross-country phase and are strongly recommended for show jumping. Long sleeves must be worn for cross-country. 8. No entries will be accepted without payment, nor will telephone entries be accepted. 9. All jewellery to be removed including all body piercing, no watches capable of being started and stopped. 10. Hairnets are to be worn by everyone with over collar length hair. 11. Rosettes will only be awarded to competitors on the field unless an SAE has been deposited with the Secretary. 12. Any competitor eliminated on the cross-country course may carry on at the discretion of the fence judge. They MUST, however, obey the following rules:-

a. move on to the next fence after 3 refusals at any one fence b. keep out of the way of other competitors c. obey the fence judges’ instructions at all times

Failure to comply with these rules will result in the competitor being asked to leave the course. 13. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON SHORT LEADS AT ALL TIMES 14. Any objections must be handed to the Secretary in writing with a £10.00 deposit within 30 minutes of the end of the class. In the event that the objection is not upheld, the deposit will be forfeited. 15. No horse/pony to compete in more than one class. 16. In the event of bad weather causing the Horse Trials to be cancelled, there will be an administration charge of £5.00 17. All competitors of any age or ability riding at a cross-country event will require a Medical Armband. No competitor will be allowed on the course without one. These cannot be shared between families or friends as the information given will be personal and therefore insurance would be invalid if any accident occurred. Armbands will be available from the Secretary.
