• Temperature: 0° to 40° C• Salinity: 35 parts per thousand• Depth: The depth varies between
200 to 11,000 meters.• Water Flow: There are warm ocean
currents

• Phytoplankton are the base of the food web.
• The zooplankton eat the phytoplankton.
• The larger organisms eat the zooplankton.
Fish are friends, not food.
