VOLUNTEERINGANDCOMMUNITYSERVICE

We offer 12 and 13 year-olds a unique community service experience that can serve as a B'nei Mitzvah project by doing volunteer work on Sunday/Funday. In addition, high school students may commit as a volunteer to meet their community service requirements while enhancing their college resumes. All volunteers receive training by our staff and are required to commit to the entire school year season of Sunday/Funday program dates to ensure consistency with our developmentally disabled child participants.

Through a grant made possible by the Z.B. & J.E. Butler Foundation, selected teen volunteers will participate in the Special Needs Training Institute (SNTI), a program coordinated with JCC on the Hudson. Teens attend classes and work with autistic children while earning one (1) college credit and a stipend upon completion. The program culminates with the Annual Youth Leader Worker Conference in early Spring 2017.

There are many ways to support the JCC of Mid-Westchester and we are grateful for all contributions. We value the support of our friends, patrons, families, and corporate sponsors to keep our JCC strong and vibrant so that we may continue to offer the programs and services that make a difference in the lives of those in our community.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS – your business can partner with the JCC as a corporate sponsor of one or all of our special series or events. Businesses will be matched with events and/or activities to reap widespread exposure, including advertising to various markets. Your business can be listed on our website, spotlighted in our e-blasts that are delivered to 9,500 patrons, or showcase your business with prominent posters or banners in our gym, pool area, nursery school or lobbies. Your support helps our JCC continue to meet its mission of providing social, recreational, educational, and cultural programs and humanitarian services to our community.

ADVERTISE IN OUR PROGRAM GUIDES – showcase your business in one or all three of our program guides. Each of our guides is targeted to different markets and each is an attractive, professional, and informative guide that lists programs, events and classes that are available to our patrons and to the community at large. The Annual program guide is published in May, the Senior Connections guide in the summer and the Arts&Talks adult program guide in September.

SUPPORT OUR EVENTS AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS – throughout the year the JCC runs many events; PTA functions, film series, book series, speaker series, holiday celebrations, fundraisers in partnerships with other organizations, etc. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to sponsor these opportunities.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISER – We create lasting connections and meaningful moments that bring our community together impacting thousands of lives. We offer programs for people of all ages and an array of classes and events that meet a variety of needs. Creating the connections that inspire our success takes planning, caring, commitment and dollars. While tuitions and fees help underwrite some of our costs, they only account for a portion of what we need to wholly support our community. Every dollar raised goes towards our programs that change lives and your support can make the difference that matters. Each year the JCC holds an event to celebrate our accomplishments, raise funds to continue to broaden and deepen our programming and serve our patrons and the community.
