What is this about?

 People are moving to online, instantaneous interactions: IM, Facebook, Twitter

 Emails are less used for personal contacts  But business users are still living in the 20th century:

post, emails, phone, manual data entry  It’s time for businesses to harness the modern

communication channels  Real-time electronic data interchange!

Fine-tuning: payment options

 Paypal payments enabled simply by adding a paypal account ID on the Company form

 Bank wire transfers are enabled by adding bank accounts on the company

 Extra options may be provided by customizing the templates (next step)

Fine-tuning: email templates

 EDI uses regular email templates that can be edited… and used for other needs

 Placeholder assistant is available to insert dynamic values

 Be careful and test your templates!

Fine-tuning: opt-out

 Customers without emails will not be notified  Customers can be selectively opted-out  Deleting an email template will disable all

notifications for that template  The EDI notification can also been disabled on the

corresponding workflow  OpenERP 7.0 will have an explicit EDI notification
