On behalf of the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, our volunteers and sponsors, welcome to Opening Night 2013! If you’re new to Opening
Night, or you’ve been coming since 1987, we know you’ll enjoy the awesome performers and activities scheduled throughout Downtown.
You’ve chosen the perfect way to ring in the New Year.
Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it at Opening Night. Performances take place in 9 venues, with 16 stages full of the state’s
best talent. Be sure to take part in the scavenger hunt and get active with activities at the Children’s Area in the Cox Convention Center. Stake your claim in the Myriad Gardens by 11:30 p.m. to enjoy the finale show and
fireworks that will officially launch 2013!
Everything you need to plan your night is in this program, including a map of venues, special activities and a performance schedule.

PARKINGParking is available in lots and garages located throughout the downtown area and within walking distance of the performance sites. Parking for people with disabilities is designated at all COTPA lots. Look for the “P” on the site map. PARTY FAVORSColorful, shiny, loud, and sure to standout – check out the wide array of Opening Night Party Favors. Find the perfect hat, horn, noisemaker and glow necklace at the Cox Business Services Convention Center, Leadership Square trailer, Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library and the Myriad Gardens trailer.
NEED MORE WRISTBANDS?Opening Night admission wristbands are available at 7-Eleven Stores of Oklahoma, metro-area Homeland Stores, MidFirst Bank locations and Science Museum Oklahoma.
On the night of the event, you can pick up your wristbands at the wristband sales locations, located at the Cox Business Services Convention Center, Leadership Square trailer, Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library and the Myriad Gardens trailer.

CHILDREN’S AREA
The Children’s Area returns to the Cox Convention Center for lots of family-friendly fun! Enjoy special activities like face painting and a giant inflatable obstacle course. Children can create festive art projects – perfect to ring in the New Year!
MUST-SEE FAMILY FUNOPENING NIGHT SCAVENGER HUNT – The race around Downtown begins at the Cox Business Services Convention Center (Venue 1) at 7 p.m. Race from venue to venue searching for the five hidden object posters. Turn in your flyer, with the correct clues written down, for a chance to claim one of the several awesome prize packs! The winners will be announced at 10:30 p.m. at the Myriad Gardens Finale Stage (Venue 6).
OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT – Come see an array of eclectic entertainment roaming the streets around Opening Night venues. Acoustic musicians will be filling the air with joy while live acts spread cheer throughout Downtown OKC. Don’t miss it!
DOWNTOWN IN DECEMBER DEVON ICE RINK – (Myriad Gardens) Enjoy outdoor ice skating in Downtown OKC daily from noon to 12 p.m. On New Year’s Eve, show your Opening Night 2013 wristband to skate for only $7 - includes skate rental. Downtown in December is presented by Downtown OKC, Inc.
CHESAPEAKE SNOW TUBING AT REDHAWKS FIELD AT BRICKTOWN – open noon to 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for each one and a half-hour session. A Downtown in December event presented by Downtown OKC, Inc.
FIREWORKS FINALE!The Opening Night finale lasts all night at the MYRIAD GARDENS! SHORTT DOGG will rock the night away with all of your favorite songs. The countdown to midnight begins at 11:30 p.m. with an elaborate sound and light show energizing the Myriad Gardens! At midnight, the skyline will light up with a magical fireworks extravaganza to welcome 2013!
