This mini-recorder is 25% the size of the standard digital Holter recorder and provides 1 day of continuous ECG data. Use the 300-3 with the Premier 10, 11 or 12 Holter analysis software.

The 300-3 has a read-in sample rate of 1024 samples per second and a write-to memory at 512 samples per second which allows for clearer pacemaker spikes, P-Waves and diagnostic quality SAECG and Vectorcardiography. .

The unit is powered by a single “AAA” battery and its onboard memory is 256MB. This recorder uses a 7 lead wire patient cable for 3 channels of continuous ECG data.

The recorder can be worn around the neck on a necklace, placed in the pocket or placed in a carrier case that can clip onto your belt.

PATIENT HOOK-UP PREPARATION

Digital recorders record at a very high frequency. Due to this fact, patient preparation is a very important part of the hookup.

Remember to do the following when hooking up the patient:

1. Scrub the site with an abrasive pad to remove dead skin, oil and any dirt.2. Clean the scrubbed site with alcohol.

3. Snap the electrode on the lead wire.

4. Place the electrode on the prepared site.

5. Place a tape over the snap over the electrode to help prevent any movement.

6. Make a stress loop about 1 ½ inches below the electrode. Place a tape over the X in the stress loop where the wires cross (Do not tape over the entire stress loop!). Taping over the X allows the wire to move freely through the loop without tugging on the electrode.

ENROLL THE PATIENT DATA ON THE RECORDER

Prior to hooking up the patient, you may want to enroll all of the patient’s data on the recorder. This will encode all of the patient information on the memory chip inside the recorder. Once the recorder is plugged into the computer after the recording period, all of the patient data will be automatically downloaded.

1. Make sure the gray download cable is attached to the computer at a USB port. There are no drivers to load for this cable. The computer will automatically recognize the cable.

2. Connect the 15 pin connector of the gray download cable to the digital Holter recorder. Make sure there is NO battery in the recorder.

3. Double click on the Holter icon on the Windows XP desktop. Click on ENROLL. The Patient Data Menu will appear. Enter all of the patient data. Click on NEXT. The patient’s data will be written directly onto the memory of the recorder.

4. Unplug the gray download cable from the recorder.

CHECK THE HOOKUP

NOTE: Prior to this step you must make sure that you have installed the CP2101 Driver on your Holter Software CD. This driver is located in the Security Key Driver file! For detailed loading instructions see page 15 in this manual.

After you have hooked the patient up, verify that you have a good hookup before the patient leaves the facility.

1. Plug the USB end of the black isolation cable into the computer (We recommend you leave this cable in the computer at all times). Connect the black isolation cable into the patient cable. Make sure that the computer is turned on and you are at the main page of the Holter program.
