standardisation of equipment specifications
• 10 Contributing Operators: BP, Chevron, ENI, Equinor, ExxonMobil, INPEX, Shell, Suncor, Total,
Woodside making up the Offshore Structures Specifications Task Force, under the Offshore
Structures Subcommittee
• Objective: Selection of an agreed base standard; using these operators’ specifications as input,
identify and agree minimum, essential common requirements, documenting these in jointly
approved supplementary specifications, published by IOGP
• 12 Teams covering: Concrete, General Requirements, Metocean, Stationkeeping, Marine Soil
Investigations, Seismic, Foundations, Weight Management, Topsides, Fixed Jackets, Floating
Structures, Arctic
