CBM PRAYERLINE GLOBAL
It was reported last week that 6,000 migrants
were safely rescued from the Mediterranean
Sea, and we pray for the continued efforts of
those involved. Continue to pray for all refu-
gees, struggling with poverty, lacking treatment
and resources, and striving for freedom and
justice in the face of war or despair. May God
help us continue to provide resources, and to
remain aware of how we can pray, contribute,
and be a part of ending suffering through the
love and power of Christ.
GERMANY
Prayers of thanksgiving from John and Ruth
Chan as they have returned from a fruitful
teaching trip in Asia, leading to new graduates
following successful training in February. As
you may know, John has been appointed by
CBM as the new Director of International Part-
nerships, effective July 1, 2017. In this new
role, John will represent CBM with its global
partners, participate in the development of mis-
sion strategy, and provide leadership to CBM’s
field staff and projects. It is a challenging re-
sponsibility that needs your continued prayer
support. Ruth will continue to carry on with her
responsibilities leading Chinese ministries over
the coming year, working with the CBM Chi-
nese Ministries Field Staff. Please pray for
their smooth transition from Germany, and for
their colleagues as they continue God’s work
among the Chinese in Hannover, Bielefeld,
Next Sunday, May 7th
, we will be observing the Lord’s Supper.
Anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus as their Savior is welcome to receive the cup and the bread. An offering will be received following the Service, for the Benevolent Fund to assist those in need, It will also be Food Bank Sunday with boxes at the en-tries for non-perishable goods.
