100%new installation standardThe development of modern construction techniques means we have to be at the forefront when it comes to installation stan-dards. The new OptiLine Hollow Core Box is the first floor box system for hollow flooring. A new standard is born.

Take advantage of the hidden spaces
The hollow core slabs have 4-5 hollows running
lengthwise in the core. Now it is possible to take
advantage of this hidden capacity underneath
the floor level. Schneider Electric is the first
manufacturer to launch a floor box system that
is tailor-made for hollow flooring with cavities of
Ø 170 mm or larger. With the OptiLine Hollow
Core Box, you can install electricity and cabling
without affecting the floor strength. Power and
data will be easily accessed, offering significant
benefits for the installer as well as for the end-
user.
The construction business today is all about finding robust, safe and strong building materials that are cost-effective and easy to handle. Hollow core slabs are one of the most frequently used types of pre-fabricated concrete floors today. No extra reinforce-ment is needed and the floors can be finalized with a minimum of filling. And it gets even better – now you can also make use of the empty spaces.
The flexible Hollow Core BoxIn addition to the fast and easy assembly, the OptiLine Hollow Core Box provides outstanding flexibility. There are 16 options for grommet connections, enabling easy feeding from the top, side and bottom of the Hollow Core Box.

75%less screedingInstalling conventional screeded floor boxes
usually results in having to apply additional
screeding, adding extra time and costs to the
constructional phase. As the OptiLine Hollow
Core Box is totally submerged in the slab, no
extra screeding is needed to keep it in place.
To reduce the overall building height, the
demand for lower floor boxes has increased,
resulting in less coupling space. With the Hollow
Core Box, there is plenty of room for connec-
tions and cable loops as well as for bulky trans-
formers. Still, the floor box lid can be closed.
By reduced screeding needs, together with all
the other benefits of the OptiLine Installation
System, you will save both time and money
during the construction and installation phase.
Small demands on space, surprisingly spacious inside
When developing the new OptiLine Hollow Core Box, we aimed at focusing on mini-mum building height, easy assembly, faster and more convenient installations and a maximum of installation and coupling space. All these factors are important for today’s building owners, specifiers, installers and end-users.

The Hollow Core Box has an optimized shape for use in cavities of Ø 170 mm or big-ger. The cavity for the box can easily be made at the hollow core slab factory or at the building site. Correctly installed, it will not affect the strength of the floor construction. The Hollow Core Box has been designed to support the OptiLine 50 floor boxes. Take a look at all the features.
Heavy loadThe stainless steel floor box resists heavy wear and has a very robust lid. Can be rotated 180 degrees.
Extensive level rangeTurnable brackets en-able a height adjustment of 100 mm.
Feed sidewaysSpecial 20 mm adaptor for conduits.
OptiLine 50 floor boxThe smart outlet grid can be adjusted in height, optimizing space for plugs and trans-formers.
Bayonet socketsKnockouts with bayonet sockets for fast and flex-ible installations of the conduit adaptors.
ResistantThe box is galvanized to resist corrosion.
Body shapeThe Hollow Core Box has an optimized shape for use in cavi-ties of Ø 170 mm or more.
OptiLine Hollow Core Box in depth
The Hollow Core Box is also suitable for refurbishments.
Perfect levelExact levelling can easily be made from the top before or during the filling process.
Sliding functionThe adaptors allow the conduits to slide, making tube fitting very easy.
Conduit adaptorFor all standard conduit sizes, 25–50 mm.
Three-way connectionSixteen grommet connections enable conduit feeding from the top, side and bottom of the Hollow Core Box.
Steady protection coverThe steel protection covers the cavity in a safe manner during the building phase. Strong enough to step on.
Generous spaceThe Hollow Core Box has a generous space for couplings and passing cables.
