The operators and investors designed a hotel type that has yet to find its equal in Vorarlberg.
The aim was to offer business travellers a high level of comfort within the hotel rooms as well
as convenient external links to a restaurant and wellness infrastructure. For that reason, the
hotel itself has done without various infrastructure services such as catering or wellness. Cost
savings thus realised with the construction budget were then partly invested in higher qual-
ity interior design and technology for the rooms. Because of the low running costs, the hotel
guest is therefore offered a high level of room comfort at a reasonable price.

The LeFay Resorts, a young chain of hotels belonging to the luxury category, takes into
account solutions that protect resources when designing and constructing individual systems.
The combination of ZBOX and Litenet lighting control systems connected with the central
Onlite CPS emergency lighting supply via a TCP-IP interface allows the (in terms of energy)
advantageous integration of daylight and shading into lighting scenes. A complete solution
was thus implemented that did without complex interfaces to other systems.

The Hotel du Cadran with its 41 rooms was given a facelifting. The new hotel room interiors
rely on a surprise effect – thanks to the integration of new technology from Zumtobel. Design
elements are highlighted by several lighting scenes expertly selected by the designer. Subtle
plays of light have the effect of upgrading the rooms and spoiling guests with harmonious
yet dynamic lighting ambiences. According to requirements, dimmed, scenic and then clear,
functional light is offered as visual experiences for guests.

Hotel Carlton CH-St. Moritz, 5-star
The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, a five-star boutique hotel with 60 junior suites and suites, is
situated in an internationally popular location and is well-known for its elegant, exquisite and
exclusive atmosphere. Interior design of the rooms offers guests the whole spectrum of crea-
ture comforts expected of a five-star hotel, including individual lighting scenes. According to
the interior designer Carlo Rampazzi, state-of-the-art technology improves such ambiences
only so long as it brings added benefit for the user, but without dominating him. Befitting the
high demand for quality, the ZBOX lighting management system was installed in the suites and
was supplemented with customer-specific control points for exterior textile shading, heating
and various call-up and signalling functions such as “do not disturb”.
