Tembikai Non-Associated Gas (TNAG) Pipeline Project

In March 2019 Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd (VPSB) awarded Alam Maritim Sdn Bhd (Alam), in partnership with Cortez Subsea (Cortez) the Tembikai Nag (TNAG) pipeline system contract.

• New wellhead platform to be tied back to existing Berantai FPSO

• 58km 12-inch rigid pipeline

• 70m water depth

Elastic strain and surface friction makes joints stronger that steel.

An expanded end is forcefully inserted into a ‘pin’ end to provide an

interference fit.

Lay 3.5 – 5km of pipeline per day resulting inless vessel time and reduced crew for a cost-effective approach, up to 30 per cent cheaperthan traditional methods.

A reduction on the reliance of vessels andman-power means we reduce our carbonfootprint.

This alternative to welding takes advantage ofsemi-automation to result in a safer workenvironment, free from hot-work andradiography.

Used on standard line-pipe 2” to 16” in up to 300m

water-depth.

Technologies – Stinger Deployed Diverless Connector

This application removes the need fordivers to connect the pipeline which canreduce the overall pipeline installationand tie-in costs by over 30%.

A reduction on the reliance ofvessels and man-power meanswe reduce our carbonfootprint.

This alternative to diving reduces the riskto our people.

Cortez and AF Global have jointly developed the

application of the diver-less connector for shallow water

pipeline tie-ins.

The pipelines are installed using mechanical

connectors and the tie-ins undertaken using the

diver-less connection in a deployment frame.

Using an ROV, the connection is made

from the pipeline to the host facility with flexible

pipe risers and flowlines.
