STANDARD NETWORK VIDEO RECORD DEPLOYMENTIn a standard NVR deployment, compression reduces the required total storage and network bandwidth, reducing storage costs or providing

longer video retention. The maximum potential of 90% compression rate appears in the diagram below, but the actual compression rate will vary.

REMOTE CAMERA DEPLOYMENTIn a remote camera scenario, video is compressed before it is transmitted over a cellular network. The compression can improve the speed and

quality of the video coming from the edge and/or reduce overall transmission costs.
