    Ceramic makes its mark.

    With the successful SLS Formula

    HeraCeram ceramics

Unique ceramics with a stabilised leucite structure

How can we combine high aesthetic standards, outstanding quality

and economic benets? How can we achieve better results aster and more

eciently? The two Heraeus ceramics are the answer: HeraCeram or

conventional re bonded ceramic alloys and HeraCeram Zirkonia or

    zirconia oxide veneers.

You benet rom the leucite reinorced structure thanks to the optimal

combination o chemical composition and special processing steps.

We call it SLS or short.

    Because only results count:

    Higher stress resistance

True reliability in the work process

    Natural results

Easier and less time consuming processing

I have used HeraCeram rom the beginning and I am thrilledwith the simple handling and close to natural results. My MatrixPhilosophy has been implemented perectly by the HeraCeramceramics. The result: Convinced customers at my training coursesand lectures.

The Recipe For SuccessLeucite is the heart o dental ceramics. Without this silicatestructure derived rom mineral classed silicates, metal ceramicsas we know them today would not exist.

Leucite is responsible or the thermal expansion required whenbonding ceramic to metal alloys. Adjusting thermal expansionhowever is not its only unction. Leucite not only increasesstrength but more importantly reduces the bonding materialssusceptibility to stress.

The disadvantage o leucite with many metal ceramics isuncontrollable and continual growth o the leucite crystalsduring multiple rings. This leads to an increase in thermal

expansion that can cause unpredictable stress in the rameworksmetal ceramic bond. Uncontrollable increase o thermalexpansion can be attributed to unsuitable chemical compositionand the type o manuacturing process implemented.

In dental ceramics, the leucite acts similarly to a green plant, which grows ater absorbing nutrients. I the constituents arecomposed with an excess amount o Al2O3 and K2O, the leucitewill continue to increase and grow during multiple ring.In order to solve this problem, Heraeus dental ceramics aremanuactured using completely dierent processing methods.

All materials are manuactured using exactly coordinatedconstituents together with specic processing steps. Thisprocess, known as leucite management, produces a StabilisedLeucite Structure we term as S-L-S.

Thanks to this processing method, all Heraeus dental ceramicsenjoy the benets o leucite, without the worry o adverse eectssuch as uncontrollable increase o CTE values. For the user, thismeans maximum saety without headaches or surprises.

Precision work requires more than just standard quality. We have created a new dimension in terms o quality, service and perormance with our new digital aesthetic system - cara. With the aid o ultra-modern sotwareprograms and latest technological eatures cara produces exceptional aesthetics and accurately tting

restorations, even in the case o the most complex crowns and bridges.

Creating the virtual from the actualThe rst step involves converting an actual impression or model into a virtual model using a 3-D scanner.Subsequent CAD construction o the restoration is based on this virtual model. The ramework is preciselycontoured to the patients requirements.

The demand: Improved precision. Improved technique. Improved aesthetics.

It is now time or a completely new dimension in digital prosthetics or new solutions, approaches and means o abrication.
