It has been said that “The only constant is change.” With that thought in mind, Fixtures Living recently changed its name to “PIRCH.” More than a lighting or plumbing store, the company’s new name better reflects its desire to help customers “feather their nests” with comfort, beauty and inspiration. Here we discuss growth, corporate philosophy and design inspiration with PIRCH CEO Jeffery R. Sears.

Q. Your company is expanding and growing – where are your newest locations?A. After we open our new Glendale Galleria showroom in October and move our San Diego store to Westfield’s University Town Center in November, we’ll cross the California border for the first time, and open stores in several major metropolitan cities. Among them: Chicago (Oakbrook Center), Dallas (NorthPark Center), and Atlanta (Lenox Marketplace). And we’re fully engaged in negotiations with centers in Bellevue (WA), San José (CA) and Denver (CO).

Q. PIRCH has a unique philosophy when it comes to selling appliances. How has your philosophy evolved?A. Well, I wouldn’t say it has evolved...it’s really more about us “staying the course.” From the very beginning, we’ve believed that lifestyle experiences and meaningful interactions are more important than business transactions. That’s why, at PIRCH, you are not asked what you want to buy, but how you want to live. You’re encouraged to branch out, to spread your wings, and to discover amazing new ways to “feather your nest.” Our mission is to elevate the joy you feel each day in your home, with products that make life’s moments worth sharing. When we do that, the rest takes care of itself.

Q. What are some exciting new products or events on the horizon?  A. As each new showroom reaches completion, we will focus on Grand Opening events — week-long affairs to celebrate our arrival in each new market and community. As for new offerings, we will continue to grow a carefully-curated array of unique and engaging

products related to indoor- and outdoor-kitchens, the bath and more. Our curation process is governed by a simple, yet critical question: “Will this product help to create an inspired moment in your life?” If the answer is yes, you’ll find it here.
