WELCOME!We are gathering together as children of God who know the importance of declaring the Word of God to the next generation. Because we value God’s Word and because we value the souls of people, we also value our opportunity to speak the truth of God’s Word into the lives of the boys and girls we teach. Many of us have had the immense joy of witnessing children commit their lives to Christ and come to know Jesus as their Savior. These children may know they’ve said “yes” to Jesus, but do they really understand that what they have entered into is more than merely following something called Christianity? Do they know that they have actually entered into a personal relationship with the Lord? Do they know that this is what Jesus died to give them? Have they been taught to communicate with God… because no relationship is stronger than its communication? Who is discipling the children in these things? This is the impact of the Children’s Ministry; to teach, to guide, to model, to lead, and to disciple the children in what and how we walk with Jesus in a personal relationship. They need to know more than the facts of Christianity and the Bible; they need to understand that they can experience communion with the living God and abide in fellowship with Him day by day. It’s possible for Sunday school to become a religious experience for the children when it could have been an opportunity for them to encounter the living God. Which will it be?There are very few places where we can have this kind of impact in children’s lives as in the Children’s Ministry. There are many voices speaking into children’s lives today and we have the privilege of being voices of truth. Where else will the children receive spiritual training in their lives? We are thankful for the homes and the ministries who know the importance of reaching the next generation for Christ. But for many children, they are not receiving this discipling in their homes or anywhere else besides church. With this often being the case, we must ask ourselves, how we are spending the time with the children in the Children’s Ministry. Are we redeeming the time while the children are with us? God has given us one of the greatest opportunities of bringing the message of the gospel; His love and forgiveness and hope to the children. We must never forget, nor stray from the words of Jesus when He said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) The enemy of our souls and the enemy of the children’s souls is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and it does not matter to him whether he does that through religion or by any other means. It has sadly been said that the majority of people who will be eternally separated from God in hell ended up there by way of religion. People have a bent to try to work their way to God by doing good things and by following religious guidelines, but our salvation is based solely on what Jesus Christ did on the cross and on nothing else. When we look at the many religions of the world and the many empty pursuits that people will spend their lives chasing after from an early age, we should know immediately the importance of God’s Word reaching the young people. We are among those that God has called to bring His light to a dark generation. If we are not declaring Jesus to the young people, then something is wrong. The children are desperate to be loved and known and valued. They need to know that their true identity is found in Jesus Christ. An incredible opportunity has been handed to us! It’s been said of one preacher, “He made Jesus real to us, because Jesus was real to him.” Are we walking in fellowship with our Lord, so that the children can see and know that they too can experience the joy of knowing God in this way? THIS is the impact of the children’s ministry! Because of Jesus,PASTOR LARRY ENTERLINE

This conference has been set aside for you! Our heart’s desire is that you will be blessed and have a relaxing, yet profitable time, filled with ideas you can use with “your” children as you minister the love of Jesus to them. We pray you will be renewed and encouraged and have the opportunity to fellowship with others who are also called to minister to the children. May your time at the conference be blessed.
