Blood Bag Systems for standardized and modern blood component processing
Compoflex® systems combine a long-lasting track record in blood bank use and blood bag production. The
blood bag systems are consequently designed to guarantee a top quality blood product and therapeutic safety.
They are easy to handle in manual as well as fully automated separation processing.
Compoflex® systems are available as conventional or T & B (Top & Bottom) systems
T & B systems
For fast preparation of plasma, red cell concentrate
and platelet concentrate with high quality.
• Low WBC contamination in all blood components
• Optimal buffy coat removal results in excellent
platelet yield
• CPD as whole blood anticoagulant
Principle of the component separation:
a b separate plasma and red cells
c process single donor platelet con-
centrate from buffy coat
Conventional systems
For easy preparation of plasma, red cell concentrate
and platelet concentrate from whole blood.
• High plasma and red cell yields
• Low hemolysis rate related to separation process
• CPD or CPDA-1 as optional whole blood anti-
coagulant
Principle of the component separation:
a separate plasma
b remove buffy coat into extra bag
c ad additive solution to red cells
d process single donor platelet concentrate from
buffy coat The production facilites are certified according to
ISO 9000 standards and meet the requirements of the Medical
Device Directive 93/42/EEC. A tight in process control
during production and a full Quality Assurance System is
established. Environmental aspects and the requirements of the
European Pharmacopoeia are strictly followed.
