This system comprises of a fabricated process tunnel of modular design that has been fully constructed from 304stainless steel.
The housing is fitted with silhouette plates to contain sprays within their individual stages and a suitably inclinedhousing floor, between stages, to return the sprayed solutions to their respective tanks.
The roof of the housing is complete with a slot for suspension hangers to progress through with a brush sealingarrangement fitted to minimise vapour spillage from the slot.
The tunnel is insulated on the heated (degrease) stage and suitably externally finished in easy clean polypropylenesheets.
An extraction system is installed to minimise vapour spillage from the entry and exit of the housing.
Solution Tanks
The tanks are sited beneath the spray housings to contain the process solutions. Each of the 5mm thick solutiontanks has double welded seams. Where appropriate, a weir complete with overflow and drain connections are fittedadjacent to the tank.
Removable 304 stainless steel access lids, weighing less than 10 kg, are fitted to the tanks for inspection andchemical charging.
Water make-up is in the form of a solenoid valves and quick-fill line manifold controlled through level control probes.
The Heated tank is insulated externally with 50 mm mineral wool material clad with 1 mm sheet.
Spray Risers
Each riser will be fixed to a bracket attached to the spray housing. For maintenance purposes each riser isconnected to the header pipe by a quick release coupling.
Each nozzle is of the quick release type and mounted in independently adjustable socket eyelets. This allows foroptimum attack on difficult surfaces. Each socket eyelet is adjustable in the horizontal and vertical planes. (notsupplied)
Pump and Pump Pipe work
Solutions are drawn from the tank by a vertical-type centrifugal pump and fed to the spray risers through a stainlesssteel header pipes.

Heating Equipment
Tank heating for the degrease stage will be by means of a Comtherm gas fired immersed tube burner. The burner isa forced draught unit complete with flame and air failure equipment and automatic ignition.
Temperature Control
Control of the tank temperature will be by independent external controller (not supplied)

Introduction:
This comprises of a 3-stage tunnel of the conventional forced spray wash, rinse, rinse type.
The plant was designed to accommodate the maximum work profile of 1700 x 450mm progressing on a singleoverhead conveyor at a speed of 1.5 metres per minute.
