What is unique about PPC?

Our background of experience in propriety process development work with clients or in-dependently with client approval. PPC’S work has included highly explosive, flamma-ble, highly toxic and high-pressure process.

The ability to provide a preliminary engineering package complete with Process and In-strumentation Diagrams, an equipment list with specifications and a budget estimate with EPC schedule. This preliminary scope book is used for capital appropriations or as a package to initiate the project.

Aiding our clients to become their own general contractor at a substantial capital cost saving by providing the personnel and know how to execute the project. We have the expertise and history of handling EPC projects and PPC works as part of the owner’s staff in assuring safety, project control, budget and schedule with savings going to the owner.

PPC’s construction management personnel are solid industry professionals with hands-on field experience and up-to-date working knowledge in planning, scheduling, design, procurement, material handling/control and construction of process plants, refineries, compressor and pump stations.

Project Size

We are capable of performing EPC services on projects of small and medium size up to $10 million.

Construction management was completed on a $150 million project supervis-ing approximately 700,000 man hours in 9 months.

PPC completed the process design, equipment selection and specification on a $300 million project including all environmental requirements.

On renovation or expansion projects, PPC plans carefully to minimize disrup-tions of the ongoing operations. Brownfield and Greenfield projects

Client Profile

Most of PPC’s business has been repeat business; our philosophy is to give the client-owner what they want at a reasonable price. We currently are working both in the con-tinental United States and abroad.

We have provided engineering services to supplement our clients' current staff at their site on an interim basis, or for specific projects, provided detail design engineering in-house at our office in Western Pennsylvania.

We presently have on site personnel working in a multi-year contract and are responsi-ble for most maintenance and all capital projects. At others we have a process engineer assisting the owner with engineering design.

Mr. Citrone, with degrees in chemistry, chemical engineering and advanced work in pulp and paper technology, has over 35 years experience in the specialty chemical, pulp and paper, and engineering construction industries. During his career, he was involved in technical service, sales and marketing, new business development, engineering and construction, project implementation,and general management of an engineering construction company.

His major areas of expertise:

• Business development of major engineering - construction projects. • New market evaluations, commercial and production response, and management

of business center. • Establishing, organizing, and managing sales and engineering personnel. • Technical/commercial development of Process Plants projects.

As Marketing Manager for a major engineer/constructor he developed and sold major engineering, procurement, and construction facilities to a wide range of industries. Projects include wastewater treatment plants for the pulp and paper industry, multifuel power generation units, chemical plants, hazardous waste disposal, and coal gasification applications in the pulp and paper and chemical/petrochemical industries.

As Project Manager he directs all aspects of turnkey projects, managing the time, money, materials, and subcontracting aspects, as well as providing the client and supplier interface and contact needs.

As Business Center Management he had commercial responsibility U.S. and Canadian Markets for major specialty chemical companies - advisor to UK and European subsidiaries. Coordinated R&D work and directed all applications and sales work in the fields. Hired and trained salesman, set sales prices, and handles contractual arrangements with major clients. Worked with legal on patents, trademark, and outside legal firms.

As Senior Technical Sales Manager for major specialty chemical company, he provided technical service to major pulp, paper and construction board industry, involving customer product development, recommending and establishing new process techniques. Trained technical services men and coordinated their activities in the field. For extended period of time was assigned to Canadian subsidiary to market survey and establish the company in British Columbia and Alberta. This included inventory control, warehousing, sales and technical services involving process to engineering firms.

Territories: New England & New York, British Columbia & Alberta, Washington, Oregon Mr. Citrone has particular strength in evaluating and qualifying client needs and the expertise to coordinate the development of product or services, market and cost analysis, and the development of innovative marketing strategies to meet client needs.

Mr. Junker has over 50 years experience as a process/project engineer working in existing facili-ties, new grass root facilities and lab bench scale studies for process development. Some of the process Tom has been involved with have been:

As Chief Process Engineer for Process Plants Corporation, Tom has developed technical proc-ess proposals and specifications for the engineering and construction of process facilities. Exe-cuted bench scale studies for process development. Some of the projects that were studied/developed include:· Reactivation of spent activated carbon· Manufacture of maleic anhydride, manufacture of cement· Fractional separation of transmix feed from cross-country pipe lines into fuel oil, diesel oil,

and gasoline for local distribution· Generation of power from furnace waste heat· Recovery of food grade CO2 from furnace off-gas· Cleanup of sulfur from furnace off-gases to meet state and federal pollution criteria· Recovery of hydrocarbons from exhaust streams for profitable reuse and to meet state and federal pollution standards · Recovery of nickel, cobalt, rare earth metals from used nickel/metal hydride batteries· Conversion of stranded pipeline gas to diesel oil. Developed technical process proposals and specifications for the engineering and construction of direct reduction process facilities using current reduction technologies including the production of hot briquette iron and direct reduced iron pellets. Developed Process Flow Sheets (Pfd’s), equipment lists, sized major proc-

ess equipment (heat exchangers, pumps compressors and vessels) identified utility requirements, and prepared documentation for process data sheets, equipment specifications and environmental emissions.

Damon J Macioce P.E. Structural/ Civil Engineer

As Structural/ Civil Engineer for PPC Mr. Damon J Macioce is responsible for the design and detailing of various structures necessary for process systems. He prepares project cost esti-mates for such structures, reviewing soils report and project specification information and gen-erating specifications and guidelines for material fabrication and erection.

Mr. Macioce’s experience includes the structural steel design of buildings, pipe supports and anchors, pipe and cable bridges, platforms, cooling tower supports, agitator support frames, elevated tank frames, various equipment support frames, towers, plate girders, stair systems, connections, floor plates, grating, castellated beams, trusses and various existing structure modifications.

Steel design experience includes the use of metric structural shapes as well. Experience also includes the design of concrete foundations, walls, piers, columns, mats, elevated slabs, rec-tangular and circular tanks, piles, and beams. Also included is the masonry design of small buildings, walls and beams along with design and detailing experience using timber and struc-tural FRP as well. All design includes the evaluation of various loads such as wind, seismic, ice and snow.

Mr. Macioce a Professional Engineer - has his Masters in Civil Engineering and Bachelors in Civil Engineering from OHIO UNIVERSITY, Athens, OH. Past steel work includes AK Steel as contractor with McCarls Process Systems.

Mr. Hassan has the experience, cultural context and contacts required to build and have your Commercial operation up and running.

Mr. Hassan has the professional relationships in several counties for successful projects with his export management operation experience. He is also the President of JSH Associates, an American firm, specializing in recruitment of academic and industrial scholars.

10 years with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Onshore oilfield projects. 27 years experience as an engineer in the design-build of major industrial facilities. Current business relationships result from past work as Project manager of Major Projects for Kuwait Oil Company, Ministry of Elec-tricity & Water, Ministry of Planning, AREF Investment Group and many other well-known local firms.

JSH International has personnel with the experience in Gulf Countries operational reality, culture and the language skills to manage your distribution partners. Mr. Hassan has management of different contractors requiring multiple language and cultural skills in ad-dition to expertise in manufacturing, distribution and governmental systems. Russell P. Hunt Designer

Mr. Hunt has over 30 years of experience as a piping designer & draft-person he is thoroughly familiar with all aspects of piping design, field engineering, layout, pipe supports, AutoCAD, ma-terial take-off and pipe specifications.

As piping designer for PPC Russ’s work involved detailing and layout of piping fabrication draw-ings and material take-off. His training and experience were developed as Mr. Hunt:

Contracted to American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio. Co-generation Plant Project in-volved analyzing sketches, notes, verbal instructions, and input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop complete piping support drawings. Also using piping specifica-tions, industry standards and drafting methods which included PFD, P&ID, Orthographic, Pipe Supports, Material Take-Off, and Isometric Piping Drawings.

Responsibilities included design, detail, layout of piping orthographic drawings, pipe support and equipment locations in the precipitation tank area. Field assignment was required walkdowns of piping systems, taking dimensions, field sketches and trouble shooting at the Gramercy works in Louisiana. Design, detail, and layout of hydraulic piping systems, pipe support locations, and equipment arrangements for hot strip mill for Eric Steel Co.

Piping Designer-Electric Arc Furnace, IPSCO Steel, Mobile, AL. Design, detail, and layout of piping system drawings throughout the casing and charging area. Field assignment was also required. Provided technical guidance and support.

DEVON (Von) M. HAGERICHCAD Designer

Mr. Hagerich has over 30 years of experience in engineering. Encompassing many facets of ENGINEERING/DESIGN DRAFTING. AutoCAD, material take-off and pipe specifications.

As Designer for PPC on various projects; Von prepared Flow Diagrams;Plant Layouts; Me-chanical; Piping; Electrical; and Commercial Architectural drawings (complete with electrical and mechanical systems) ; Commercial and Municipal new and replacement lines clean water/wastewater systems.
