�In September 2013, NIRS was designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre, and launched its 4-year long activi-ties in five radiation-related areas: radiation emergency medicine and preparedness, biodosimetry, medical ra-diation exposure, and exposure to indoor radon.
�In January 2014, NIRS was designated again as an IAEA Collaborating Centre in radiobiology, charged particletherapy and molecular imaging for an additional 4 years.
