Recruitment & Retention• Welcomed two new Hospitalists – Internists Philip Moore,
D.O. and Margaret Hallahan, D.O.

• PinnacleHealth has the area’s only high-volume, level III NICU.

Our expectation is that, with our partner PinnacleHealth,
we will recruit more physicians, add more services,
and improve our facilities for our patients, physicians,
and staff so that we can provide the right care, at the
right time, in the right place, which is here at home
where our patients live.

The mission:
“The Foundation is committed to ensuring premier health resources for
the people of Huntingdon County and nearby communities by
providing funds to support and enhance the delivery of services at
J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital and in the community at large.”

Auxiliary Highlights 2013-2014• The Auxiliary to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital celebrated its 100th Anniversary with:
– “Galaxy of Stars” Gala at Lake Raystown Resort in November 2013 and raised $58,000 toward future Hospital projects
• Awarded two scholarships to children of J.C. Blair employees pursuing health careers and administered the Bette Jane Heine and Cindy Taylor Scholarships to area nursing students, and the Grugan Award to a Juniata senior pursuing an advanced degree in a health field
• Purchased new flat screen TV's for the ICU and provided free satellite television in all patient rooms
• Hosted 30th Annual Children’s Health Fair for over 400 area elementary students
• Hosted the Central Region Association of PAHA’s spring meeting at Isett Acres Museum in April
• Donated items for Newborn Safety Kits and JC Blair bears for all pediatric patients
• Supported women’s health initiatives including Wear Red Day and Wear Pink Day luncheons
