Through its field-based and independent assessments, IMPACT supports aid actors to fill information gaps and enhance their planning capacity. IMPACT facilitates large multi-sector or sector-specific assessments, which are at the core of humanitarian planning and decision-making process, such as Humanitarian Needs Overviews and Response Plans.
1 ASSESSMENTS & ANALYSISIMPACT teams monitor and evaluate humanitarian and development interventions in contexts of crisis, enabling partners to better understand the impact and efficiency of their programs and more broadly of the aid response. IMPACT’s expertise includes independent third party monitoring, impact evaluations, sector-response monitoring and evaluation.

IMPACT provides a wide range of information management solutions and products to facilitate decision-making by aid actors. IMPACT’s information products include mapping products (static maps, interactive maps, web maps, infographics), narrative products (reports, factsheets, profiles) and data storage and management products (data portals, databases).
3 INFORMATION MANAGEMENT IMPACT builds the capacity of local and international actors to gain a better understanding of crisis dynamics, have an increased capacity to respond to crisis and future shocks. IMPACT provides direct trainings and tools on information management, assessments, M&E and GIS, and facilitates peer-to-peer support between institutional actors (such as municipalities and universities).

WHERE WE WORK
Accountability and efficiency of humanitarian and development responses are increasingly central priorities for the aid sector, as reflected by the commitments of the World Humanitarian Summit. UN Agencies, NGOs and donors are striving to strengthen their capacity to grasp the needs and priorities of local populations, understand the impact of their work and increase cooperation and synergies with local actors.
Through its direct action and inter-agency initiatives, REACH and AGORA, IMPACT enables more efficient, accountable and integrated humanitarian and development responses across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
To do so, IMPACT conducts independent and field-based assessments, monitoring and evaluation, information management and organisational capacity building programs, enabling UN Agencies, Donors, NGOs and local actors to understand crises, their impact and ensure integrated responses in crisis areas.
REACH facilitates joint and independent assessments, monitoring and evaluation in support of and within the framework of inter-agency coordination mechanisms. By doing so, REACH enhances the humanitarian community’s decision-making and planning capacity, ensuring an evidence-based approach in crisis contexts.
