The weather in Udaipur in February month is pleasant for travelling. The

temperature during the month of February will be around 25°C maximum

and night temperature would be around 18°C. Accommodation of

participants will be arranged in hotels, guest houses and dormitories on

first come first serve basis.

Since Udaipur is busy tourist destination and hotels remain booked

throughout the year, it is therefore requested to kindly register and

Congress of Veterinary Parasitology and National Symposium on

Organized by the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, College

of Veterinary and Animal Science, Navania, Udaipur from 12 to

14 February, 2018 under the aegis of Indian Association for the

Symposium intends to bring together scientists, professionals,

“Technologies for Sustainable Parasite Control and Readdressal

of Detection Methods Directed for Upliftment of Rural Economy”

Organizing Committee

The Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology

was established on 15 February 1986. It mainly focuses on providing a

forum for veterinary parasitologists from diverse fields to deliberate on

important issues related to research, education and extension activities

for the benefit of scientific community, planners, policymakers,

industrialists and other stake holders.

The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS),

Bikaner is a newly constituted body corporate established under sub

section (3) of section 1 of the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and

Animal Sciences Act, 2010. The University came in to existence on 13

day of May, 2010 with His Excellency the Governor of Rajasthan as the

Chancellor of the University. Professor A.K. Gahlot was appointed as first

Vice-Chancellor of the University. The Headquarter of Rajasthan

University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is located at Bikaner. Under

this University, there are three constituent colleges, one each at Bikaner;

Navania, Vallabhnagar (Udaipur) and Jaipur.

IAAVP

Venue - UdaipurUdaipur is one of the beautiful cities of Rajasthan as well as of the country. It

is very well placed in the International tourist map. It is also known as city of

lakes and venice of the east. It has a unique scenic beauty and there are

many tourist spots like Jag Mandir, City Palace, Moti Magri, Jagniwas, etc

within the city. The famous temple of Shrinathji at Nathdwara (50 km),

Chittorgarh fort (110 km), Kumbhalgarh fort (70 km), Jai samand lake, (50

km) are other places of interest. Udaipur city is coming up as an educational

hub in the state. Udaipur is well connected by air from Delhi and Mumbai. It

is also connected by Express trains to Delhi, Mumbai, Indore, Ujjain,

Ahmedabad, Patna and Kolkata. Private luxury and state transport buses are

available to and from Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Mumbai, Bhopal,

Indore, Pune, Agra, etc.

Mewar region has rich culture and historical heritage as well as known

as Land of Maharana Pratap. The city has a number of lakes like

Fatehsagar, Picchola, Rang Sagar, Badi and beautiful palaces having

panaromic beauty. The city has religious significance as well with

Shrinath temple at Nathdwara, Eklingji temple and beautiful

Jain temple at Ranakpur and Mount Abu. Nearest airport is

at Dabok (22 km).

The College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Navania, Vallabhnagar was

established in 2007 as a constituent College of Maharana Pratap University

of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur (MPUAT) to cater to the needs of

Animal Husbandry activities of Southern Rajasthan. It is the second

constituent Veterinary College of the Rajasthan University of Veterinary

and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner which is situated in the southern

region of Mewar in Udaipur district. The foundation stone of this college

was laid by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje Scindia,

on 15th April, 2007.

The College is located in western part of India. The location of the

college is about 45 kms from city of Udaipur, about 7 kms interior from

Udaipur-Chittorgarh National Highway on Bhatewar-Navania road. The

College is situated at Navania village in Vallabhnagar tehsil of Udaipur

district. The premises of the college are spread over an area of 224

hectares of land. The department of veterinary parasitology has three well

equipped laboratory viz. Helminthology, Entomology cum protozoology lab

and a museum.

with minimum qualification of M.V.Sc degree in Veterinary Parasitology not

above the age of 35 years) for for best

paper presentation of Ph.D. work and for for

two typed copies of full length research papers based on original research in

Veterinary Parasitology written in the format of J. Vet. Parasitology, along
