The system of levels of folding is more as aguide line, an approximate approach just to orientyou and mostly depends of your skills in paper folding. If you are a novice, even the simple levelcan be challenging for you. And if you are alreadya connoisseur even a complex model can besimple for you.

This Heart-Shaped Paper Clip will be useful to bind a few sheetsof paper with a very special message :)

Use a square of paper, for instance, a 3-inch (7.5 cm) square.If using two-color paper, begin with colored side down.

Valley fold the opposite sidestogether in both directions,and open them up.

Valley fold the top and bottomsides over to meet thehorizontal middle fold-line.

This should be the result.Turn the paper over.

Valley fold both halves of the top edge over tomeet the vertical middle fold-line. Press the foldsuntil horizontal middle fold-line and unfold them.Repeat with the bottom edge.

Reduce the paper along the ‘valley’ fold-lines toward you, at the same time,mountain fold the middle, as shown.

Continue reducing the middlepoints, thereby bringing themodel into the position shownin the next step.

For the clip-heart, use a 3-inch (7.5 cm) square of paper or so.Take a few sheets of paper to bind them with this Clip-Heart.

For the clip-heart, use a 4-inch (10 cm) square of paper or so.For the bookmark, take a strip of thick paper, about 8 incheslong or so.

Take the folded clip-heart.Separate the layers at thebottom and open out them

softly, not making the folds.

Insert the end of the paper strip into the pocket of theheart as far as it will go.

Valley fold the layers down,t h e r e b y l o c k i n g t h ebookmark by the paper clip.

This should be theresult. The Clip-HeartBookmark is ready.

 Adding the secondheart on the stripwill make a nicedecoration.

You can vary sizes of theheart and the strip, butkeep in mind that paper for the strip should be

strong enough.

Here is an original origami clip for holding papers together. This onecan hold together up to about 12 sheets of regular copy paper, especiallyif the clip is folded from origami foil. Let your papers to be boundcreatively!

Use a 4-inch (10 cm) square of paper, preferably origami foil. Whenyou mastered this model, try to fold it from a smaller square of paper,for instance, a 3-inch (7.5 cm) square.

If using two-color paper, beginwith colored side down.

Valley fold the opposite sidestogether in both directions,and open them up.

Valley fold the opposite cornerstogether, in turn, to mark the diagonalfold lines, and open them up. Then,turn the paper over. Make ‘valley’ folds, as shown.

Valley fold twoopposite cornersover to meet themiddle point.

This should bethe result. Turnthe paper over.

Valley fold and unfold theopposite corners asshown. Then, turn thepaper over.

 Along the existing fold-lines, valley fold theside points into the middle, thereby makingtwo small squares. Squash them flat.

You can make a hanging decoration with the double heart. It could be one modeltied by a ribbon or a garland of double hearts.

Here is the completedhanging decorationwith the double heart.

Take a piece of str ing or niceribbon, in length,appropriate toyour double heart.Fold in half andmake a knot to fixthe loop.

Place the string’sends betweenthe layers of thedouble heart asshown and tie upthem to bind theheart ’s core.

When making agarland, tide up thestring around eachheart’s core.

It looks pretty from both sidesand the heart’s core with avalve of other side of paper willbe useful to make variousdecorations and attach theheart to something.

You will need the card stock and one or two double hearts. For regular sized card stock, 1/2 of Letter or A4, the size of paper for hearts could vary from 4-inch to 2-inch square, depending

on your idea for a card.For this card, make two double hearts, one from 3.5-inch (8 cm)square and another from 2.5-inch (6.5 cm) square.

Here is thec o m p l e t e dsymmetricalcupboard-likeDouble HeartCard.

Mark the fold-lines out onyour card to receive thecupboard-like form with two

doors that can be openedand closed. You can dodoors symmetr ical or asymmetrical, as in our case.

Define the place for each of the double hearts. Then gluethem to the opposite edges,so the layers of the one half of the heart are envelopingthe edge and glued to it bythe heart’s core.

Here is the completedasymmetrical cupboard-l ike card with theDouble Hearts.

Close the doors of your cardat the same inserting thecard’s edges into the slotsof the opposite hearts.

Mountain fold the toptriangle back along itsbottom border.

Valley fold the topcorners along theexisting fold-lines.

Valley fold and unfold the middlecorners of the front layer, as shown. By pressing in the

specified place, openthe layer and turn it outinto the position shownin the next step.
