Props and Costumes We wanted to the props and costumes to be

able to enhance the representation of teenagers, we decided to use a school as our location due to it being a teen drama, with this the costumes were quite easy to establish as we wanted school uniforms. However, to enforce the stereotypes of school uniform we wanted to ensure that they will conform with stereotypes.

Location shotsAs part of our pre-production we needed to scout different locations in order to find the most effective location for out film. To find the most effective location for the film we needed to ensure that the location would be able to tell the audience more about the character and the story. The idea of our film is to relate to students at school, which is why we chose to locate it at school however, to get the real essence of it being students is to locate the film in the school playground to see a conversation between the group of students in order to get a real essence of what school life is and more importantly how younger people act during school. The main idea of our film is to showcase the day to day pressures of school life and growing up and how this could affect certain people and we wanted to get this across in our location. Our only location is on the wall in the school playground and this is essentially where the kids go to sit more importantly this part of the wall is hidden away so teachers and other students can see what they are doing, the reason that we decided to locate it here is to ensure with empathise the pressures the society has on the younger generation with them being stereotyped of being secretive towards authority and older generations. However, we decided this location on not only the fact it is secretive but also to represent the stress they are under and how they feel trapped – note the fence behind is restricting the plants behind it and is also associated with caging something and throughout our film the main character is hiding something.
