• MTN SMART Numbering is the use of letters associated with telephone numbers on a dial pad to spell a name or word that uniquely describes how a customer wants to be seen as (AKA Vanity Numbers)

• It is the use of a customer’s company name, product name, service or even any special acronym selected by a customer. For example, 0700-MTNBUSINESS

• It is intended to make reachability easier with the use of words that are memorizable; user friendly and connotes what a user wants the caller to remember him as

• For example, a customer that operates a flower shop may opt to subscribe to a smart number like 0700FLOWER4U
